From 2011 onwards, I received training in Athens from Arisol Tsakalogianni in the following areas: Gyrotonic® Level 1 & 2, Gyrokinesis® Level 1 and Gyrotonic® Special Equipment. I also took part in training at the Eaglesnest Therapy Centre in Münstertal in Therapeutic Applications.
“Like water, I am round and soft, holding the promise of relaxation, like gymnastics I am rhythmic and active. Of dance I have the combination of grace and strength, of yoga and Qi Gong the elasticity and the stimulation of the energy centers including the energy flow along the meridians.”
Juliu Horvath, Founder Gyrotonic
The spinal column is the most important element in the Gyrotonic method. Flowing sequences of movement are executed without interruption and with an unvarying level of resistance, as well as with appropriate breathing patterns. This combination of training leads to steady, synchronised and rhythmical sequences, which both regenerate and harmonise body and mind but erradicate blocked energy. The exercises promote the development of strength, movement and coordination. The whole body and circulatory system are actively stimulated, leading to detoxification and rejuvenation. Regular training with the equipment visibly streamlines the connective tissue and harmoniously shapes the physique.
